God needs no rest
Genesis 2:2-3—”God does not need to rest; as the Qur’ān says (Sura 50:38)!”
The Bible is clear that God does not fatigue or need rest .”.he who watches over you will not slumber; Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” (Psalm 121:3-4) ” The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom” (Isaiah 40:28). The Hebrew term for rest also carries the lexical meaning of “cease,” “stop.”
The Qur’ān uses similar anthropomorphic (human-like) language for God, mentioning His “face” (Surat Al-Rahman 55:26,27), His “hand” (Surat Al-Fath 48:10), His “eye” (Surat Ta-Ha 20:36-39), His “throne” (Surat Al-Hadid 57:4); He” forgets” (Surat Al-A’raf 7:51). This does not mean he has human characteristics—rather, God speaks in human language, using human descriptions which allow finite humans to comprehend the incomprehensible.
